Green Communities Partners Selected in Latin America to Speak at the UN Rio+20 Conference

Out of 150 applicants from Latin America, four organizations were invited to speak at the conference on sustainable development, and Green Communities was one of them.

Body: The UN Rio+20 Conference was a historic opportunity to define pathways towards a safer, more equitable, cleaner, greener, and prosperous world for all.

Out of 150 applicants from Latin America, four organizations were invited to speak at the conference on sustainable development. Among those four, Green Communities had the privilege of participating and contributing to this global event.

The goal of Green Communities is to promote sustainable development in the Los Santos region by converting conventional coffee farms into ecological organic farms.

Through the involvement of volunteer students, Green Communities protects cloud forests, improves the economic status and ecological awareness in local communities, and facilitates cultural exchange.
